Rojas Watch: looking forward to Steve Cohen selling us another New Mets Culture

Good morning.  Those losers, the Mets, are 5 games under .500 and 7 games out of first place.

That brings Luis Rojas’ lifetime managerial record to 99-112.  He is going to miss the playoffs again, and you may recall he missed an 8 team playoff last season.

So clearly he has to go.

And then once again we will have the press conference…

…where we are told…

…that this time…

the Mets are here to change the culture.

Or maybe it will be Billy Beane telling us he is here to build a new culture.

Or Steve Cohen telling us he’s here to build a culture of winning not just this year but every year!

It gets old after 5 or 6 times, guys.  How about you win something.

Instead…this has been the Steve Cohen Era……

Steve brought back his loser manager that missed an 8 team playoff.

The Mets hired Jared Porter.

The Mets made Zack Scott the acting GM.

The Mets players booed the Mets, and then sat in front of a podium to tell us that they meant to do it!

Not to mention the organization broke deGrom despite a fat basement blogger warning everyone this would happen and why.

So sure Steve, this time I am sure the Mets mean it.  You’ll change the culture.  The new regime will change things.

If you’re serious, get an interim manager in there tonight.  Change the culture TODAY.   Why is Rojas still in there?  This team has quit, and has even quit coming-out for the national anthem.  There is no leadership, no fire.  Just an owner who tweets after wins….don’t you miss tweeting Steve?

Let’s Go, Mets.

(and retire 17)

Mets Neon Cap

Here is a Mets Neon Cap, which hopefully the Mets would be proud enough to wear, but they probably aren’t.  They don’t even like their own fans.

Cool looking cap, would like to see a version with a smaller NY.

.

Why don’t Steve Cohen’s Mets come out for the National Anthem?

Several readers have pointed out to me that it does not appear that the Mets are coming out for the National Anthem.

Steve, I know you and your band of losers can’t even get the big things right, but this is one you should be able to nail.

When you finally put me in charge of Brand Intergrity, every Met will be on the field, on the line, caps off, like it is Opening Day. Every day. The Mets Way.

You guys made a big show on 9/11, just like how in 2020 the team made a big deal about BLM on Opening Day. Then when the cameras are off – few are out for the anthem, and the BLM logo became an ad for a car manufacturer.

NO EXCUSES STEVE.  This is your team.

Post jumps on the Mets’ Steve Cohen Failure bandwagon

Yesterday I wrote about Steve Cohen being “seeming a failure at owning a winning baseball team (aka loser)” and as usually happens, when I say things OFTEN FIRST, people ignore it.

But now it’s in The Newspaper, using the same type language (FAILURE) and since the sports radio uses The Newspaper for topic generation, this will now be a thing today (Good!)

The New York Post writes..

And yet Cohen failed anyway. After he bought the Mets he said, “I’m not crazy about people learning on my dime.”

Mets fans weren’t crazy about Cohen learning on their dime either.

(via NY Post)

And I am still not over this band of losers, the most despicable of all the 60 Mets clubs, booing their own fans.  I put the game on for two pitches last night and then remembered that I actively dislike everyone on this team (except Brad Hand).

It boggles the mind that not one player – not “Captain” Pete, or deGrom or anyone else you want to name – stuck up for the fans.  I think the club wanted to hit a reset button and pretend that the Thumbs Down never happened – but IT HAPPENED AND THEY HAD A PRESS CONFERENCE ABOUT IT.

A press conference.

So this team can rot.

And as for the owner – like I have said since he showed up – NO EXCUSES.  None.  I don’t want to hear that it is Year One.  I don’t want to hear that deGrom got hurt (I did warn you about that Steve, many many times.)

You mean to tell me a team that rolls out The Best Power Hitter On The Planet, Baez and Lindor behind the great Big Zero and the other SPs, is a team that should be under .500 this late in the season?

Is the player mix wrong?  Did the billionaire not spend last off-season?  Is the manager the wrong guy?

Who hired the first GM, who hired the second (acting) GM, who hired the people hiring the people.

This is all on you Steve, and as said yesterday and now the Post echoes…this is a failure.

Rojas Watch: Steve Cohen’s Loser Mets Team’s Loser Manager says Playoffs Is The Goal

Steve Cohen, who is seemingly a failure at owning a winning baseball team (aka loser) might want to see what his manager, who should not have been brought back after missing an 8 team playoff – but you know Covid aka excuses – but the owner Steve Cohen, seemingly a failure at owning a winning baseball team (aka loser), brought Rojas back and yes Steve this is a run on sentence on purpose.

Rojas said…

“Playoffs is – we want to win.”That’s why we’re here. Everything that got us to here – offseason, spring training, all the things that we’ve been through this year, it’s for the playoffs. There’s nothing more to it. The race and distance from teams to get to the clinching spot is what we have to do. That’s our goal, that’s our mission. Nothing more. We can’t think of nothing else other than that. That’s it.”

Steve you managed to put together a band of losers who put together a group of baseball turned on their own fanbase (that group did that inbetween some colorful off field stuff, it is possible your vetting system for hiring is not where it needs to be.)  Guess where the buck stops Steve?.  This is all on you and I have said all season…

NO EXCUSES

You crow after wins, you eat crow after finishing under .500

You have resources.  Figure it out.  I don’t want to hear excuses.  A fat guy in his couch told you all LOUDLY that you were gonna break deGrom, and you went our and broke deGrom.

This is all on you.  Failure.  Losers.

Get Theo Epstein in here and go be a hedge fund manager and you can ride in a float in the parade.  Other than that, get lost.

Also, retire 17.

I have upgraded the Rojas Watch Watch to a Rojas Watch.
