Wait, someone is complaining the Mets AREN’T on Sunday Night Baseball

I’ve never heard of such a thing!

Who is complaining that the Mets will play a Sunday day game?!

Who is FOR an 8:05 start?

Bob Raissman that’s who.

I will guess Mr. Raissman doesn’t have a Sunday+ plan.

Please ESPN keep making such “bad” decisions.

What we have here is the faculty of Bristol Clown Community College depriving the unwashed masses, from sea to shining sea, of seeing Reyes – the most exciting player in the game today – in favor of a business story line: the tale of the chaotic state of the Los Angeles Dodgers, a glamour franchise, and a nasty legal battle between owner Frank McCourt and commissioner Bud Selig.

Subway Series: Fun banter with a Yankees fan

Long-time readers know of Mr. Sunshine, my Yankees-fan friend.  Sunshine is one of those guys who was loves John Sterling and thinks Fake New Yankee Stadium is dandy.  He earns his nickname because everything is always OK in the Bronx.  Some fun poking.

SS:  Kay has started “put it on the left side” which is completely unlike Howie’s “”put it in the books” and did you hear Sterling’s “Monsieur Marteen” call.  I’m not even going to tell you who it is for.

Sunshine:  Didn’t the Mets copy the Yankees by having a baseball team in New York?

SS:  The Mets are the only team originally from New York.  Your Baltimore Orioles are vagabonds.

Sunshine: Expansion teams never have the cache of an original.  They do things like change team colors and uniforms just trying to find that special something

Can’t argue there.  Stupid Mets.  Oh, and Bobby Bonilla gets paid today.  Stupid Mets.

You know who makes more money today – you or Bonilla?  Bonilla.  And tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that, and the day after that…9125 days to go!  (I read your thoughts – no YOU let it go.)

I have decided I hate this Mets logo

I saw this on somebody’s truck yesterday and it just annoyed me.

I get the “black sells” argument even if I don’t agree with the philosophy (winning sells) but that’s about merch.

Why does this even exist? The dopey hybrid cap has blue and black on it, why couldn’t the uni just have the blue ball logo on it? Why does this logo need to exist at all? Where would it ever need to be displayed that a blue one wouldn’t suffice?

And why is there no NY on it?
