Fun night at Siberia Field

Fun night at Citi where thankfully they gave us this

I was wearing two sweatshirts, a Lee Mazzilli jersey (Mets undefeated while I wear a Lee Mazzilli jersey), my cap, that hat, a hood, a Mets jacket and a thermal.  This is my friend George around the 8th inning.

I’m starting a comspiracy theory about this sign…..why are they “dumping” Reyes shirts?

Just liked this one as a picture

I took shots of the new 1986 exhibit in the hall, plenty of alternate caps, a blue Berra jersey and some You Own This Mets Jersey entries…but it’s 11:30 and Mrs. MP is awake and in a good mood if you know what I mean so I am outta here…;)

Tonights giveaway hat looks like….

Here’s the giveaway plus Albert’s quality tailgate featuring an awesome jacket and jersey

I know it’s only 6 but I think tonight will be not well attended.

Here’s the parking lot at 5:45. You’re looking at the charter bus area. In the distance is the main lot.

The awesome Mets History intro at Citi Field (video)

Yo, here’s a hookup from Ceetar.  Everyone throw his blog some hits! He has some pics from Opening Day and also let me know about this cool video which I mentioned yesterday…

The Awesome Video

I see stuff like that and all the blue and orange at the park and I swear that I think the Mets are paying attention.  (Now if the rest of you would stop buying black crap…)

I’m already cold thinking about how cold I am going to be.   Heading out to Citi now with a camera.  BUNDLE UP FOLKS, don’t let the sunshine fool you.  You’ve been to a night game in April before right?   If AT&T’s 3G works at all I will tweet and post from the game. Last night that wasn’t an option.

ESPN has last night at “41,075 (97.8% full) – % is based on regular season capacity”   Any guesses on tonight?  Brrrr.

I do not believe the Mets are dumping tickets on Stubhub

Once again I am starting to hear from folks who are accusing the Mets of dumping tickets on Stubhub.

In November 2010 Ceetar transcribed Dave Howard as saying “We don’t do that. wouldn’t do that.”

In May 2010 I transcribed Dave as saying “Any suggestion the Mets are dumping tickets on Stubhub is ridiculous.”

What I think is happening is that brokers have large swaths of seats that become available.  I refuse to believe that Mr. Howard would go on the record like that if he were lying.

It’s just a matter of time until variable aka dynamic aka market pricing comes to Citi Field and this all becomes a moot point.  Here’s language from the 2011 Giants website:  “Market pricing applies to all tickets.  Rates can fluctuate based on factors affecting supply and demand.”

Would it make you feel better or worse if the Mets were blatantly charging a discount for tonight’s freezebox, or a premium the day they play a good team on a sunny day?

I also don’t understand why people get mad at discount seats.  The Mets are in the business of selling you tickets and getting you to buy food and merch.  The baseball is the excuse for all this.  Nobody put a gun to my head and made my buy a 15 game plan.  I choose to.  I choose not to pay $19 to park.  I choose not to pay for whatever a hot dog costs now.  I choose to buy blue caps.

If you want to got o a game buy a ticket form whatever source you can (hey, even Mets Police Tickets – who doesn’t love a bargain) and do the best you can for yourself.  No?
