Busy day! Some Mets were at the opening of a Mets themed room at NY Hospital in Queens.
No jokes. Be nice.
Pinstriped again. Just sayin’
What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.
I was having a nice day and then Dan sends this over:
Today’s Date in Baseball History: 1984 – The White Sox claim 39-year-old pitcher Tom Seaver from the Mets as compensation for the loss of free agent pitcher Dennis Lamp to the Blue Jays. The Mets left Seaver off their protected list assuming (wrongly) that no team would want to select the aging star, who finished 1983 with a 9-14 record and a 3.55 ERA. But Seaver will improve to 15-11 with the White Sox this season.
You guys should have read the Mets Police Newsletter volume 23, issue 2. I went nuts!
To me RA Dickey should be a philosophy professor somewhere. He busted out this quote as it pertains to the Mets changing the team attitude. High tides raise all boats.
Dude that like gets me right here.
Tons of great question and answer segments from Mets players at the Citi Kids at Citi Field event. Here is Gee, Parnell and Thole taking their turn.
