Report That New York Mets Citi Field Has Mold And Water Damage (NY Post)

I’m just settling down to my bagels but here’s today’s topic for sure (plus tomorrow’s since there is an inexplicable holiday day off.)

The Post says…

Less than a season old, Citi Field has been plagued by water damage to several luxury suites — including Jerry Seinfeld’s — as well as mold, falling signs and concrete, flooding in outfield seats, faulty electrical wiring and shoddy tile work, sources said.

So head on over to the Post to read about mold, floods, poor electrical and Fred Wilpon taking the stairs.

In case you are wondering what David Howard thinks, and I’m sure you are because he has tremendous credibility with fans like you:

“Any suggestion that Citi Field is less than an elite, world-class entertainment facility is flat-out inaccurate and unfounded,” he said.

More in the Post.  Good job fellas!  As always, the Mets are welcome to as much space as they’d like if they would like to respond.

  1. leaking in the stadium. this place is starting to feel like Shea!

i had heard before the season started that there was a rat infestation, but that turned out to be a well-crafted April Fool's joke.

somehow, I trust the Post over the Mets on this matter, but picking on things that union teams did over Labor Day weekend is just wrong. But if these are true, it is going to be really hard to hide all of this.
