Tales from Aisle 424 – A Cubs Blog: Am I a Bad Cubs Fan for Not Hating the Mets Anymore?

Hello – welcome to the first post from my brand new computer.  Yep, it’s been an expensive week here at Mets Police HQ.  First some service fees to the nice GoDaddy people, and now a brand new laptop to replace the one that spit the bit today.   I sure hope somebody clicks on some ads.

Here’s some sadness via Aisle 424..even the Cubs fans don’t hate the Mets now.

I don’t like them.  I actually could really care less about them anymore.

When I was growing up, I hated the Mets.  I HATED the Mets.  I hated Keith Hernandez because he was a former Cardinal.  I hated Gary Carter because he was Gary Carter.  I hated Darryl Strawberry. I hated Lenny Dykstra. I hated Howard Johnson. I hated Jesse Orosco. I hated Wally Backman. I hated Ron Darling. I hated Davey Johnson. I really fucking hated Dwight Gooden because no matter how many homeruns Tuffy Rhodes hit off him, he still always ***ing won.

Hopefully he can hate Wally again in 2011.

  1. I almost started to feel that way about the Atlanta Braves last year, but the feeling is back.

The pity of Yankee fans is far more disappointing than the apathy of Cubs fans, though.

    1. Yeah I missed it. I try to run a clean shop.

Between the computer issues and my selfish vacation week it has been might hard to blog. Lost “catch up” day yesterday to unforseen circumstances.
