Deadspin Kills The New York Mets Again

I’m not sure how many of y’all read Deadspin (even though it’s one of the biggest sites out there) but this is fun:
The 2009 Mets: A Season Of Failure – it’s a collection of photos and videos to remind us all what an awful season it has been.

Among the fun is this “walk off error”

Speaking of 2009 – does anyone still care?  I’m noticing that comments are way down – and why that may be a function of my site being lame, I notice they are down on Metsblog too.  Has everyone headed off to the NFL?

Also from Deadspin, don’t miss last week’s Why Your Stadium Sucks: Citi Field.   Don’t worry, they do it for everyone.

Notice how the Yankee Stadium home run problem went away once the Yankees opened up a 7 game lead? Now it’s “part of their game.”   I was chatting with Mr. Sunshine the Yankee Fan and we were talking about how nobody complains about the 3 of 5 ALDS in the years where the Yankees win, but when they lose to the Angels suddenly it needs to be a 7 game series.  I think the DS should be 7, and each team should just schedule two Sunday doubleheaders to even out the schedule.  They could play one of those doubleheaders on the Sunday into the All-Star break and it would not be disruptive.
