Those equipment bags are knock offs that’s why the NY looks a skew Times are tough got to cut back whereever you can
I think it’s just the fact that it’s an iron-on (or something) logo instead of stitched. I found a pic from last year and this one from 2007 and it’s the same on the bags. The logos here sort of meld the two letters together, though, so it’s interesting that the bags show the outline of the Y and not the N.

That logo set NJBaseball linked makes me hate the black drop shadow even more. How can anybody look at “without” and “with” side-by-side and not find it hideous?
Please. Don’t even get me started on that drop shadow. Can we please do away with the black altogether? If the majority of fans clearly hate it, as even reporters in Newsday are aware of it in their articles, why isn’t the Met organization doing away with it?
I am told “it sells.”
Of couse if the Mets switched to all-orange tops those would sell too.
