Fred thinks the family will own the team for generations: Â what else is he going to say? Â If he says that he plans to bring on a business partner there’s a media and blogger shark frenzy. Â If he says he plans to sell to some investors from Mercury in about 10 years there’s a shark frenzy. Â Plus, if you owned a baseball team wouldn’t you want your children to keep owning it?
I think Brian Costa in the Ledger rocks it out. Â Make sure he’s on the list of people you regularly check out. Â Worth a follow on twitter too. (and I’m @metspolice) Â Brian has the audio of Fred Wilpon from Saturday.
I bought my kid some 2010 Topps which has me on a baseball card kick. Â If you’d like to share some photos of your Mets baseball cards email me [email protected] Â The more random the better.
I’m not nuts about the idea of Wright putting on muscle. That never seems to end well with players. Â Looking at the picture I’m just going to say, “interesting” and move on to the week’s most popular articles:

Wrights off season added muscle may be a good thing. When you consider that the Mets new “Prevention and Recovery” plan for this spring includes reducing the weight training Wright has already compensated for any potential strength loss. From what the article said Wright is also tipping the scale at 206lbs. Last year they listed him at 217lbs. So we have muscle growth, with a 5% decrease in weight. That equals speed, and more importantly, most likely “natural.”
You have to admit, his body looks more “gymnast” than Bond-McGuire-Sosa-esque no neck chemically enhanced power hitter.
