Video shows new lower CF fence at Citi Field

I am leaving this post and the one below it (they removed the incorrect brick) as “sticky” today so they don’t get buried. For frequent visitors, new content will be rolled out all day long in the third position down.

Here’s a video of the first couple getting married at Citi Field.  While I wish the couple well, I’m even more excited to see video from inside the stadium.   Take a look and you’ll see the new fence.

Hey is that a 2000’s era throwback jersey the groom is wearing?  Remember they used to wear more of a white-white with pinstripes, with black dropshadow?  (What, those are now throwbacks aren’t they?).   Do they sell them?  I want to get one with Casey Fossum on it.)

  1. those were the pro throwbacks that look less yellow then the replicas…notice the mets patch on the arm? replicas dont have that either..

  2. THATS JUST THE CONCRETE OF THE OUTFIELD WALL.. IT LOOKS LIKE THEY JUST TOOK THE PADDING OFF

  3. Yeah just took padding off or its just a big band-aid…lol

So what are going to do? Can’t cut out the concrete cause the will expose the hidden apple? All you can do is paint it black since its the batters eye area.

What a disaster the whole outfield wall is. While I am glad the apple area has been lowered to 8 feet, just look at the mismash of ads, the banners, retired numbers and of course the ugly black. Everything looks too close together with no real flow. Shame since the wall is such a major part of the park. This shows the Mets dont get it.

  4. And hopefully they will put the Wise and Dunkin Donuts ads somewhere else and have SHEA BRIDGE written in that area. And in area on wall behind bridge would be good spot for flag like championship banners, or just put the bridge name there. Thought it be done by now.

  5. Surely, they’re going to do something more with it. If they’re just going to put up a line, why bother even taking the padding down?

More notable to me is that the rest of the CF wall is still the 10+ feet tall that’s it’s always been, not the 8 feet that’s been often reported as the new height. Surely, they’re not going to paint a line 2 feet and some odd inches from the top of the wall the whole way across. That’d be even more goofy than it would be confusing.
