I was at that game! Smoltz pitched. Had to be one of his first games ever. Kicked our butts, too.
Hey I was there too!! Upper deck, but more centered than this photo. I don’t remember the game all that well, but I remember the Mets were sold out of Seaver T-shirts before the game even started. It didn’t occur to them to get A LOT of souvenirs to sell? Just showing that understanding of the fans that led to the design of Debbits field.
