Brian owns these Mets jerseys: Mo Vaughn

Another look at Brian’s closet.  Here’s Brian:

Vaughn
The only saving grace in this one is that I have a jersey of the last Mets’ player to ever wear #42 as a full time number. I’m convinced that the sole highlight of his Mets career was that 500 foot bomb he hit off the Budweiser sign on the Shea scoreboard against the Braves in 2002. For Mo and all of us who watched him, that was as good as it gets.

Want to feel worse about this? We took Vaughn and his bloated salary from the Angels in exchange for one year bust Kevin Appier. Want to know the young arm the A’s drafted as compensation for the Mets signing away Appier in the 2000 offseason? Jeremy Bonderman. He’d look pretty decent in the number 5 spot in the rotation right about now.
