New York Cubans Uniforms from last night

Wow this will show you how much attention I paid this week..I didn’t know the Mets wore Cuban uniforms until just now until i read it on UniWatch.

What do we learn from this picture?

1.  No names on the back looks better.   If you can read a name on the back from the upper deck you should be playing.  If the TV crew doesn’t tell you via chiron who a player is then you should be directing.

2.  The cap suggests that the hybrids would look much better if they dropped down to two colors (black and orange) as opposed to three.  That of course if you insist on wearing black.

So that Lukas doesn’t get mad at me for borrowing his picture – y’all need to click on UniWatch and bookmark it every day and also visit Fire Wayne Hagin. (There’s a link to more photos in the comments section of UniWatch, you can see for yourself how hideous the current Mets helmet meshed with these unis.)

Anyone with me about “Future Hall of Famer Jon Niese” or are you gonna wait until he wins the Rookie of the Year to be trendy?  Remember your old pal called it first.   287 career wins due to some to tough luck early in his career.

Podcast coming up at 6:30.  Does Santana wanna murder his teammates yet?

Y’all must be taking the weekend off.  Not a single person tweeted or emailed me about this one – not like you guys!

  1. They should start selling the Cubans uniforms.

Considering how well “Future Hall of Famer Stephen Strasburg” is doing lately, I don’t think I’d try to pin that moniker on anybody.

  2. When we met Jon Niese at spring training in ’09, as he walked over to my kids I told them, “look, it’s Jon Niese. He’s going to be the first Met to throw a no-hitter.” He laughed and I told him I wasn’t kidding. He’s a nice kid, and an awesome pitcher. What a pleasure it’s been watching him this year. It’s even more impressive considering he came back from that horrific injury. He has my vote for future HOF’er.

  3. Cuban unis looked awesome…better than the Dodger stuff. And no one really expected a sweep today, did they? These are the Mets.

And before they fire Hagin, SNY needs to find some women that know sports. The ones they have are awful. They are embarrassing to see on the air.
