As I mention from time to time, in 1989 I was more interested in girls than Mets…so I have zero recollection of this. Did they really run their mouth with an arbitrary “best since 1984” logo?

That was in reference to Shea Stadium attendance, if my memory serves

I do vaguely remember that.
I vividly recall that and I believe I had a duffle bag with that logo.
This was the product of a fan logo design contest. And the duffel bag was a promo giveaway… I had a few too.

I’ve actually got a photo of it on the DiamondVision. I believe the game was July 27, 1989, a 10-8 Pirates win.
