PANIC!!!!

John Montone was on WINS this morning he played clips of Yankee fans calling Girardi names. He said that by the end of the game Yankee Stadium looked like Citi Field. I bet the Wilpons love knowing that Citi Field cam be used as a pejorative.

Mr. Sunshine is too bewildered to even be upset.

It’s hard to find a Yankee fan who believes. They kind of remind me of…..

Mets fans!

Remember the day the Yankees signed C.C. and A.J.? Now A.J. Is Bronxian for Oliver.

It’s days like these where I miss George. George would have something to say about this. Billy would be getting ready to manage the 2011 NYY’s.

Girardi will be back. Calm cool calculating Hal will hold a presser where he and Joe talk about unfinished business. They’ll probably introduce Cliff Lee and Carl Crawford at that same conference.

The Mets will introduce the Japanese Cliff Lee. Oh wait, new GM – maybe they’ll stop with the approximation plans.

Speaking of guys named Joe, isn’t the failure of the 2010 wild card champions somehow Joe Torre’s fault? Only an idiot doesn’t win with a $200 million payroll. You just show up and win 100 games right?

To finish second in your division and then lose to a bankrupt organization – it must be the manager.

Joe G., I kid. I’d welcome you and your ring in Flushing.

What the Yankee fans saw last night is what I continue to see in Flushing. They need more gamers.

Sure I trust Santana in game 1 of the NLCS against the World Champion Formerly New York Giants, but then what? You trust Pelfrey not to give up a late three run homer? You trust the guy from The Rookie? That ain’t real.

You can scape by in a season but the playoffs will expose you.

The Yankees will see this season as failure. The boys in Flushing (and way too many fans) would consider the NLCS a victory.

There should be one goal: a ring. Then do it again.

The Yankees have clutch horses in games 5 and 7….but the ghost of Mike Scott looms.

For the Yankees time is up….my advice to you:

Man Up and Play Better.
