Spring training is here, and Mets fans all over the world complain the Tom Seaver trade again (Jeff Edelstein column) – trentonian.com

In some ways this is a companion piece to the Times article I posted.  I meant to get to this one last week but I’m still fighting off Zombie Virus…but it made me laugh because it’s so true: it always comes back to the Seaver Trade.

when a Mets fan spots a fellow Mets fan, especially down here in Greater Trenton, at the very edges of Metsdom? At the very least, there’s a nod of mutual understanding, at the most, a teary hug, with the middle ground being a 20-minutes stop-and-chat that invariably comes back to A) trading Tom Seaver, B) the 1986 Mets or C) usually both.

  1. Heading down to PSL on Mon, now that the whole team is here! The workouts are actually better than the games, as players actually stop and talk with you.

It is so laid back and you can see almost every player you want as they move from station (field) to station.

I love it!…Plus we are tied for first!
