I love how #TheNarrative is now that Kelly Johnson is somehow Murph 2.0, and that you’re all acting like you liked Daniel Murphy when he was on the Mets. Some major major revisionist history going on here.

A. I actually loved Murphy, he was our most consistent and clutch hitter over the last 5 seasons. B. Kelly Johnson, and for that matter Neil Walker, is not as good a hitter as Murphy, even prior to 2016. C. I said it all along, even before last year’s post-season, why aren’t the Mets interested in signing Murphy? Why? Because the Mets are HORRIBLE talent evaluators, always have been, plus they are cheap, cheap, cheap. Better to sign De Aza at 8 million than Murphy at 12 million cheap. Wilson/Alderson proven wrong again. Still wear my Murphy gear to games.
