Mets Police Morning Laziness: Brad Ausmus from the last place Tigers

Today’s MANAGERIAL RUMOR OF THE DAY is Brad Ausmus.  Mr. Ausmus apparently managed the Tigers for 4 years without me noticing and finished 64-98 (.395) in 2017 so of course he should be the next Mets manager.

SLACKISH REACTION: actually got to take in some 1pm Red Zone yesterday which was a good time.  It made me shiver to think there was a time before Red Zone and the internet and relaxed doubleheader rules and WFAN where you’d be stuck watching Jets-Browns and that’s it.  If you were lucky, NBC would flash scores every 10 minutes.  And if the Jets played at 4 you wouldn’t even get a half time show as they would blow that off for the news.  Ugh,

Anyway, I hung with RZ until around 4:30 but then when it drops down to just overing three games it gets too slow for me so I started catching up on the billion episodes of Designated Survivor that had been piling up.  The key to watching that show is if Keifer Sutherland is not in the scene then don’t watch the scene.  I did that for 4 episodes and didn’t feel like I missed a thing.

Today is Columbus Day which is one of those sort of holidays but not really.   Some people on Friday were like “enjoy the long weekend!” – what?  Are things closed today?

Anyway as you can tell there is no Mets news today other than Managerial Rumor Of The Day.
