Mets Police Morning Laziness: Timmy, the Last Jedi, and the Beltran Conspiracy

I shall start with a story.  As you know I like Bagel Sunday.  This morning at the Bagel Store a young boy walks in….

“I have a new baby!  His name is Timmy!”   He is very proud.

I say “Hello Timmy!”

“I’m not Timmy, the baby is Timmy.”

“You tell Timmy I said hello.”

“I will.”

Then I thought about how Timmy will be my age when I am 100 and then Timmy is gonna see the 2100s.   Welcome Timmy!

I do wonder if Timmy will ever see the Mets win a World Series.  I suspect not.

While we are off-topic, I watched The Last Jedi again last night and anyone who doesn’t think this is a great Star Wars movie is a fool.  It has everything you would want, and Hamill is great in it.

I am still convinced they hacksawed the second Act to save some Carrie Fisher scenes for IX.   If you watch the movie, Admral Holdo who sure seems like a Leia placeholder for plot purposes, doesn’t even appear in the first act and doesn’t appear on screen with Leia until Act 3 at which point they seem to be very good friends.  There also seems to be a strong bond between Leia and Poe in Act 3.  My guess is some Poe/Leia narrative was held back for IX so he can be the next leader.

Also keep an eye on Poe’s hair in Act 2, it has varying lengths

Speaking of conspiracy theories…

….Mulder has a good conspiracy theory about Beltran, the Mets and Cooperstown.

SLACKISH REACTION:  Jeff, you know how you think the Beltran hire was gonna excite the fans?  It has not.  I’m 4 topics in and your big hire is buried below a 4 year old kid having a brother and a two year old Star Wars movie.  Anyway Jeff, let’s put a full circle on this and say this isn’t going to go the way you think.

NOT LINKING:  The AAIMBR decided Rosario will be an All-Star this season.  Blogs just get to decide such things.  What you do is you make up some stats you think he can attain and then decide that puts him on the All Star team.  This takes 75 writers.

But it that content isn’t horrible enough, the other AAIMBR actually handed in “Sam Haggerty made it to the big leagues.”  Who the (bleep) is reading that other than the 75 writers?   I mean seriously.  Really guys?
