Yesterday I criticized Fred Wilpon for wearing a pretty ugly black Mets jacket. Â Media Goon hit the photshop to suggest Fred wear this..
Better…a little purply. Â And we still need to buy Omar a blue cap.
What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

Previously I wondered about this variant Mets logo, where the Y was on top of the N. Â Global Mets Blog found all sorts of variants: N over Y, interlaced, flat..you name it.
I have decided that this shall be New York Mets baseball cards week. Â If you have some cool ones and would care to share, hit me up at [email protected]
I bought the Topps 2010 Series (series 1) for Junior, and man did it bring me back. Â So fun to go through and see what’s there.
We’ve long since established that I stink at taking photos with my iphone, but if you tilt your head and squint you’ll see that the back of John Maine’s card there includes a mention of injury. Â I wonder how many Mets have that note. Â Tomorrow, David Wright’s card.

Peter who often sends me stuff dropped me this email ([email protected])…and I want to be perfectly clear that I’m just cribbing baseball fever here, good job outta them!
The “Ebbets Club” has been renamed the Champions Club. Â If you search the A to Z guide on Mets.com you’ll find the Champions Club is listed under E. Â Very interesting, it’s as if they are paying attention to criticism!
Shannon,
My friends at baseball-fever.com mention yesterday the Ebbets club has been renamed Champions club.
we hope the first base side can be for 1986 team and 3rd base side for 1969.
Champions Club – 1st Base and 3rd Base
Located on the Field Level and exclusive to Champions Club and Delta Club seat holders as well as Sterling Suite holders, the Champions Club, evocative of historic Ebbets Field, features high-end concessions, full bars, high-definition flat screen TV’s, and restrooms.

The Mets are doing a lot of good things.
Hopefully fixing those obstructions in the promenade could be the last piece to making citi field feel like home.

New readers to both Mets Police and my twitter feed @metspolice often ask me why I rail against the black so often.
Look at this picture. Â I’m not here to pick on Fred, but if the owner is going to walk around thinking this outfit looks good, we’re a long long way from the Treaty of Flushing (that’s wear the Mets ban black and I in return stop asking for pinstripes to return).
This photo is proof that the 2010 BP caps look horrible. Â That’s an MLB wide design, but it doesn’t mean that Fred has to wear one.
I walked by Modell’s this morning because I’m here to help. Â I understand Fred likes some black in his wardrobe – can someone run out and buy him this instead? Â And a traditional blue cap to go with it?
