Black Plague causing Mets to get sick?

Of course that’s a stupid headline.

It’s also stupid to dress your team in black believing that the uniform has anything to do with the win streak. Clearly a shirt is less influential than having Jason Bay in the lineup.

Meanwhile, Adam Rubin tells us about the illness running through the clubhouse which coincides with the current uniform madness. Obviously these are related. Did Ike Davis throw up during a game while wearing blue? Nope.

I’m actually rooting for the Mets to wear black tonight! Why?

Eventually this winning streak will end, and when it does I don’t want it to be blamed on blue. I hope they run off 30 wins, but let the loss in game 31 come in the plague so that we can get back to our goal of winning the World Series while dressed nicely.

The Daily News mentions that Terry Collins had the bug over the weekend but is feeling better.

The Mets aren’t the only MEN IN BLACK at Citi Field

To really tweak Shannon tonight, I have to relay this info. A scene or two is being shot tonight at Citi Field. Ready for this guys? The movie is Men in BLACK 3. That’s right guys and gals more black uniforms at Citi Field. Its actually the “B” unit shooting there.

I shot over to Citi earlier tonight and took two shots of the set. They have a large blue screen set up in the parking lot. Hey Shannon, there was some blue at Citi Field this week!

Here are a the two pics of the Men In Black 3 set from Citi Field’s parking lot.

Brad Emaus and the other Mets on the 2011 All Star Game ballot.

Well, the ballots are out…

You can vote for Ike, Brad Emaus at second (oops), Reyes, Wright, Thole, Beltran, Bay, and Pagan.  You can also write in Dan Murphy, and I know that you will.

Hopefully soon they’ll tell us where the 2013 game is.  Bloggers like All Star Games.  Just throwing that out there early.

Oh, and Mets fans…the Chris Young on the ballot – he’s an OFer.  Different Guy.
