Good morning.   More generic content today (been decent so far, no?) as I focus on Real Job and Media Goon minds the store.

Here’s another awesome time capsule from 1980.  Go about 2:40 in and you’ll see some light fisticuffs between the Braves and the Mets.

Wait 20 seconds later and you’ll see the greatest Met of all time (OK maybe Seaver was better and Doc had a good three years) go deep.

Ralph Kiner says it best, “Mazzilli is really something to believe.”

…then the video gest terribly bizarre with a magician (the Magic was back) and then some bizarro Mets song.  SNY needs to contact the guy that posted this and re-edit it for an awesome special.

According to this report in the Daily News it was the phrase “Man up and play better!” that set K-Rod off.

Not for nothing but MAN UP AND PLAY BETTER would be a good slogan for this entire franchise.

The only guy who does “man up” is Santana who is often like a one man team.
