Now taking uniform requests apparently

A reader request from Christopher:

Hey Shannon, Big fan….listen, I love all the possible combinations of uni’s for next year…and the white one you have with the different kind of piping around the neck and arms is awesome!!!! It’s perfect, except if it was cream colored, I think it would be the perfect combination. Could you ask someone to possibly create a photo of what that might look like and post it??? I am positive it would look insane with the blue hats.

Laurence, you made the jersey depicted here – think you can cream it?

I had been laying off the unis thing for a few days but tonight’s hybrid caps with black undershirt are getting me cranky.  I can almost sort of perhaps understand the marketing of the black jerseys, but I don’t understand the black undershirts.

I’m really done with the everyone-wears-42.  Let one player do it and tell his story of why it is important to him.

Number 42, Ike Davis

I felt like I should have an Ike Davis post.

I’m excited.  I’m surprised that everyone else seems surprised that it was today, but whatever.  I wasn’t smart enough to figure it out, MLB Trade Rumors was.  By waiting they control him for an extra year.

Anyway, Ike will make his debut wearing….#42.   It’s Jackie Robinson night.  Then on to #29.  (Good catch by BPalm on that one, I have no original thoughts today.)

…and I got my chops busted on twitter because Lackey got lit.  I think I’ll just go buy a black jersey and call it a day.

LoHud Mets blog suggests Reyes bat 7th or 8th

The LoHud Mets blog suggests the Mets bat Jose Reyes 7th or 8th until he gets rocking again. (He posted an 8 man lineup, so I don’t know where he wants the catcher)

That’s some aggressive pool there, and you have to factor in the managing of the humans involved.

However, Jose is off to a slow start…

…but it would look panicky and be great for the second-guessers.

Since it’s not fair to link and not throw out an opinion – this thought did cross my head last night after the second foul-out, but I quickly dismissed it.  If Jose Reyes isn’t up to the task this team isn’t going anywhere anyway.  Dance with who brung ya.

Whatcha think?

Looks like Bark in the Park has sold out

Anyone ever brought their dog to a game?  My dog is pretty annoying, but I bet with a chill dog this could be fun.   What happens when the dogs lift a leg?

Anyway, even though it appears to be sold out, for curiosity’s sake:
