Don’t know if you caught Bryce Harper’s slip-up that he wants to bring a championship back to “DC” but Thor sure did.

Syracuse, N.Y. — The New York Mets won’t take the field at NBT Bank Stadium for an exhibition game at the end of their spring training schedule. But it looks like there’s a good chance they could have a workout in Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome later this month. A source close to the Syracuse Mets confirmed Saturday afternoon that the team and Syracuse University are working to put on an event soon. The source did not offer further details. Lyin’ Todd Frazier mimics swing (rimshot), could miss Mets Opening Day!!!!
Todd Frazier, who had been inactive since Feb. 26 due to a strained left oblique, has started “some movements mimicing a swing” and expects to begin running again this week, reports NorthJersey.com’s Matt Ehalt. (via formerly Mets Blog)
I thought that was what Lyin’ Todd did all last summer (Sad) – mimic a swing.
Again, I don’t know how the Mets survive if Todd isn’t out there on opening Day crushing the ball with his .852 OPS (that was for you millennials) and his Salt & Pepper attitude?
Can the Mets actually play Jeff McNeil and his .329 bat and expect to win?
Hopefully Todd will be back out there soon, grinding it out and leading the Mets to an even more successful campaign than 2018! Salt and Pepper baby. Salt and Pepper.
MHN: Matt Harvey says he’s right where he wants to be
“I’m right where I want to be.” That’s the money quote from The Dark Knight of Anaheim of Los Angeles (aka TDKOALA). No he doesn’t mean Anaheim (how is this guy not a Yankee? Oh wait even the Yankees don’t burn $11 million.) he means with this start.
I had no idea TDKoala was jumping on the mound, and don’t think I don’t do several searches for his name every day, but seems he jumped in the B Squad Game where…
Harvey threw 17 of 29 pitches for strikes. He issued only one walk despite falling behind in a few counts, allowed no hits and struck out three of the six batters he faced in 1 2/3 innings. He used his entire arsenal of pitches, too, and threw in the low 90s. (via LA Times)
Apparently Matty Baseball is working on throwing more change-ups…
Harvey’s fastball ranged from 91-94 mph, which is a good sign considering it was his first outing and it came in a relaxed setting on a backfield without much fanfare. Harvey’s fastball averaged 94.4 mph in his 24 starts with the Reds last season. (via MLB.com)
And we even have this Press Release style quote from The Real Deal.
“It’s good,” Harvey said. “[The ball’s] coming out well. Last year, I was able to pick it back up into the upper 90s. Today without much adrenaline or a huge crowd, it was pretty good. Today being March 2, I’m right where I want to be. Everything is good.” (via MLB.com)
For the “WHO CARES” crowd – well, apparently Mets Police readers do as Matt Harvey Anything winds up being the most-read article(s) of the day. I’m sad he’s out west which means I won’t do as much pitch by pitch recapping as I did before, and I am especially troubled that I follow Matt, the Angels and even Fox Sports West and had to find out about this start via my Google Alert.
Anyway, lock up your supermodels Anaheim, The Dark Knight is in town and he’s got a change-up.
As for Matt, I guess when he was starting the All Star Game in New York, driving Maseratis and bragging about his sex life on Bravo, where he really wanted to be was on the back fields in Arizona facing the Diamondbacks B-squad. Funny how it all worked out for The Next Seaver.
Sterling or Scully: Gary Cohen mails in a Mets Wilson Ramos HR call
Oh Gare, it’s barely March and you’re already on autopilot? Come on man.
This call is terrible. At the moment I froze the video, Gary is saying “at the wall” – at which point the ball is already over the fence. That’s some John Sterling like catch-phrasing and lazy,
You are better than this Gary, and I am going to drag it out of you no matter how mad you get at me for calling these Trackwall calls out.

Verdict: Sterling
Oh, you think I’m being mean? Here’s another freeze
At that moment Gary has worked in a mention of the track and is now saying “right near the wall” – a better call would to be let us know that he’s not sure that the ball will make it or not, the way Howie would have,
