Meet Tom Seaver, drink wine

A three time Cy Young Award winner, and the only baseball player inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame as a NY Met, Tom Seaver is a man who has shown that true talent and hard work rewards. Tom now directs his efforts towards crafting world class Cabernet Sauvignon in the Napa Valley.

City Winery is proud to welcome Tom for a rare opportunity to taste and discuss his wines from the GTS Vineyards in the Diamond Mountain district of Napa Valley. First planted in 2000, this is the third vintage of the signature GTS and Nancy’s Fancy and will be the only NYC opportunity to sample the 2007 vintage up close and personal with Tom.

Ticket holders will have the chance to sample both wines and Tom will be on hand to discuss and answer questions on this very personal endeavor. The wines are produced from low yielding Cabernet Sauvignon on just 3 acres of prime Napa soil and are only available via direct mail-order. Production is small and sells out extremely quickly.

Tickets are limited for this rare opportunity to taste Tom’s wines in the intimate setting of Manhattan’s only functioning Winery

Please note, Mr. Seaver will not be signing autographs at this event.

  1. Wow. only $40? Considering how expensive the wines supposedly are (I’ve been told they’re at one of the Citi clubs) that seems like a steal considering Seaver will actually be there as well.

I’d love to go and ask questions about wine laced with baseball terms. “Tom, this Pinot Noir is a home run!”

  2. If I drink enough wine, I always see Tom Seaver. Heck, after a magnum I have whole conversations with Tommie Agee and Gil Hodges.
