TV Guide

Good morning Mets fans,

I can’t say I watched loss number 78 (and .500 starting to look iffy) but I did watch and really enjoy ESPN’s House of Steinbrenner episode. My Yankees friend Mr. Sunshine (who of course thinks the Steinbrenner monument is appropriately sized) will love it.

I came away puzzled by Hal as leader. He seems miscast but he does have a ring so he can’t be that bad. His sister seems pretty annoying and a total rich kid. I don’t think non-person Hank appears. Remember when Hank entertained us all for a few months? Someone locked him away it seems.

Anyways, the scenes about 1975 Stadium are pretty cool and it reminds me how fake the present building seems. The documentary even covers obstructed views!

I might have to get working on House of Wilpon.

Speaking of The Boss, Happy Birthday to Bruce Springsteen and all the other 9/23ers!

Those fine Faith and Fear guys remind us that Mets Yearbook 1967 debuts tonight at 6:30 and tells us kids about that season.. Supposedly this G.T. Seaver kid is good.

Finally, Survivor is off to a great start. Coach Jimmy Johnson is on the island with a bunch of wackos. So far it has been mighty entertaining
