Remember Mets Bat Day?
I am really starting to enjoy this spring cleaning. I don’t know which I like more about this found item – the fact that the Mets (and most teams) once gave away 30 inch solid wood bats, or that the sponsor is a bank that hasn’t existed in 20 years.
I wish I could tell you what year this was from but I don’t remember anything about getting it unfortunately.
The Stars and Stripes jersey I’d like to see the Mets wear
I own one of these and use it on holiday weekends. I’d like to see the Mets wear it when they wear the S&S caps. It would solve the color mismatches. All of the variant S&S caps would go with it.

A lot of emotions are coming out over the last 48 hours…since this is all supposed to be fun I’d like to move on. We can discuss if a cap is attractive or not if you’d like, but the discussions over who is more patriotic than the next guy seem like no good will come of it. Hence my silly Giants post last night to break the mood.
Yes I know the Giants played in New York. I’m very well aware of it. Sometimes, I forget there’s lots of new readers around.
