MLB Rule 4.06….
It is not my rule.
In honor of #FanAppreciationWeekend our players met fans at the gate to thank them for their support all season long. #THXMetsFans pic.twitter.com/Zzq1oMByce

Clearly the players in uniform are mingling with spectators before a game. I hope MLB’s Chief Baseball Officer Joe Torre takes this violation as seriously as he would were someone to wear an FDNY cap in a game on 9/11/19.
These are not my rules. When I become commissioner I will call for the elimination of this rule. And extra innings.
Between this and David Wright’s undershirt, the Mets are showing complete disregard for the rulebook.
