Daniel Murphy had a higher OPS after the Mets ditched him than Pete Alonso ever has had

Hey Millennials – are we still doing OPS?

Pete Alonso wondering who could have possibly gotten Chili Davis fired.

Remember Daniel Murphy – that guy who was such a Net Negative that the Mets let him go to a division rival (who won the division)?

In 2016 Murph had an OPS of .985   That compares nicely with the .834 Pete Alonso has going into today’s game.  Now, I personally hate OPS because its just adding numbers together to get a big number that looks cool in video games – but since you guys all switched to it, we would use it.

Steve Cohen Steinbrenner is about to give Pete 10 years because of you Yahoos, and Pete isn’t even “Daniel Murphy good”

Murph went .928 in 2017 if you’re wondering.

Pete peaked in his unbelievable rookie year of 2019 with a .941, when he hit more home runs than any rookie in 150 years which is kinda weird if you think about it.  Since then I have been pointing out he would never touch those numbers again and the Mets should trade him at peak value.  Nobody listens.

Pete is batting .221 with 153 strikeouts, but you know, he homers sometimes.

The Mets love Net Negative Daniel Murphy! Always did! Never tried to run him out of town not even once

I think he’s a net negative

The Mets had one of their all time faves back yesterday.  Ike Davis.  Brad Emaus. Jordanny Valdespin.  Daniel Murphy!

Those cowards at SNY didn’t have Murph in the booth and forced him to the Steve Gelbs treatment. Whats wrong Gary? Don’t wanna talk to Murph?

Murph seems to think there is some great history “here” – hey Daniel, if the Mets have any good history at all it happened last century. At Citi Field, one time we wrecked a guy’s career so we could get cool #NOHAN t-shirts and that only set the franchise back three years (because you and Cespedes saved things).

Sure would be nice if the soccer stadium could use the parking lots but someone wants to build a casino

Let’s see what’s happening with the new soccer stadium on 126th street – you know, the one in the neighborhood everyone wants to redevelop with only the best intentions in mind.

The parking complication first came to light back in May when a report from The City indicated billionaire Mets and Citi Field owner Steve Cohen opposed NYCFC’s stadium in Willets Point and was “playing hardball” over sharing his parking lots with the new soccer arena.

Those Citi Field parking lots are where Cohen wants to erect his own new casino-centered development, and the parking lot sharing looks like it’s still being utilized as leverage by Cohen as he wages an extremely expensive and thus far unsuccessful campaign to bring a casino to Willets Point.

Event parking out at Willets Point shouldn’t be hard to come by for either Mets or NYCFC fans, given the fact that Goodman of the Queens Development Group also made it clear to Community Board 7 that all parties are in agreement that they will not schedule Mets and NYCFC games on the same day.

Goodman said that, in the event game postponements and rescheduling lead to NYCFC and the Mets playing on the same day, the games will be staggered by a minimum of seven hours to ensure there’s enough time for one crowd of fans to clear out before another crowd of fans descends on this stadium-packed corner of Queens. There were plans for more about this to come out on Friday as I understand but I pre-posted this for today.  I will be sure to let you know if something changes.

I will also let you know when the affordable housing opens.  And the public school.  And the cool parkland expansion for the new residents.
