Let’s review the Syracuse Mets jersey giveaways, Part Two

This part two of a two pare series. You can find part one here.

I guess a kid could wear this, but other than that I don’t see any scenario in which anyone would ever wear this.  Terrible.  At least no sponsor clutter and I do sort of like the stylizing on Mets.

I didn’t know what this was about until I googled. The Six Nations Iroquois Confederacy, also known as Haudenosaunee, meaning “people of the longhouse,” referring to their domicile structures, played a key role in shaping the United States government.  This is OK I guess, and the sponsor logo isn’t that awful.

Some throwback action here. Nice enough.  Point off for the sponsor logo.

Teams almost never get Irish night correct and this  one didn’t either.  The shamrock is too much, we don’t need the words Syracuse AND Mets on it, and the stripes just aren’t working for me.   Bonus point for no sponsor logo.

Let’s review the Syracuse Mets jersey giveaways, Part One

The Syracuse Mets have a bunch of jersey giveaway days.  These are all better than what the Major Leaguers are wearing, but let’s take a closer look.

This next one tried too hard.  The New York silhouette ruins it, as does the sponsprname on the back.  Pass.

I’m guessing someone clears this with the Buffett estate, otherwise the phone is going to ring.  Jimmy was very protective over use of the M word.  This is my favorite design, and the business of it hides the sponsor.  I will bet a dollar this becomes “Beach Shirt” night or something.

When the Mud Hens did theirs, note the obvious tie in with official Margaritavlle, so see what I am saying?

.

This jersey has the same issue. The NY doesn’t work.  And double sponsor on the back. Yuck.  This jersey was over-engineered.

I did this on.  Fun.  Point off for sponsor placement.

This one is fine.  Point off for sponsor name placement.

More Tomorrow, unless Steve signs some free agents, which means More Tomorrow!

The wheels have started to come off for Uncle Steve’s Mets fanbase

Last summer I warned Steve Cohen he should be worried that he lost the diehards.  I warned him again at the end of the season.

Steve even responded to the initial post  so I know he saw it.  The question is, did he heed the warning?

Well, it’s now March and the Mets are resorting to this for Opening Day.

Let’s click the link….

Plenty of good seats available.  That’s Opening Day!

I’m too lazy to click through to a Tuesday night in April but I am confident in what I would find.

It’s going to be interesting what a summer of a bad Mets team, Steve’s closed wallet, another July sell-off and Steve getting crap from the fans will bring.  If Steve doesn’t get his casino, will he entirely lose interest in this project?

The signs were there Steve.  Good luck with your dance team.
