Biz of Baseball is a great site that I check out frequently. Â Recently they posted this article which breaks down what various items cost at Major League Baseball.
Specific to the Mets, the report suggests some items are more expensive, and some are cheaper. Â You’ll find data for all 30 teams. Â Enjoy.

After watching the 20 inning game, I think Jerry is a Dead Man Walking (and clap for Hojo while you still can).
So this week’s poll (on the site for thhose of you on Google Reader or reading this via email) asks: Â Jerry, Bobby V, Melvin, Backman, Mazzilli (I had too), convince Keith or wait for Torre.

I worry that as time is marching on, Tom Seaver is just some old dude that the kids kind of vaguely know was good but don’t know much about him (I would fail your Whitey Ford quiz). Â To an increasing number of fans, Keith could become that announcer guy.
If you’re old enough, you know Keith was so much more to the Mets than his staff. Â His cigarette-smoking swagger, his on-field management, his punch-you-in-the-face mentality.
He was also named The Captain.

Let me reason with the Wilpons a different way. Â Here are some other numbers. Â 33,000. Â 26,000. Â 4 and 7.
Schedule a Keith Hernandez Day and let your fans feel good. Â You’re very close to having a revolt on your hands, and a new stadium will not save you this time.
Mets, while you’re at it, schedule Banner Day as well.  I’ll get into that in the morning, unless I wake up and see the words Bob and Melvin in the news.  Oh, and Omar is going to decide tomorrow the Mets need more offense and they are calling up Ike Davis. Here’s why.
As for the fans? Â In Vaccaro we have someone in the mainstream to lead the good fight. Â If you’ve got a blog, spread the word. Â Twitter. Â I bet we can get Joe & Evan on this. Â If it takes peer pressuring the Mets, let’s do it.

Good morning- while I am sure the Sunday papers are filled with all sorts of articles about the 20 inning game, the offense, Omar, Jerry, the Wilpons, maybe even some Bobby V – I am actually out right now participating in Actual Athletic Activity.
That was some game last night – like everyone else, it disrupted my plans but was a heckuva lot of fun.
I went to bed wondering how long Jerry can last. Â He got the win, but the team just looks dead. Â Three innings against position players and they got two runs. Â I like Hojo and all but something’s gotta give.
Anyway, I’m being athletic, will be back shortly since it’s right in town – until then, enjoy the most popular from the week.
Although it was the most read article of the week, I thought it would get even a bigger reaction in the Metsosphere. Â Here’s a conversation with a Mets marketing executive about uniforms.
If the Mets do change the uniform for 2011, it could look like this.
My favorite discussion of  the week asked, is the 42 thing too much? I wonder if having one player on each tean wear the number might be have more impact than having entire teams do it.

Wow.
For the first 16, I don’t know if this was that memorable a game other than the number of innings and the weird managerial moves (especially in the home dugout). Â I actually had an original version of this post, written around the 16th or so, that said it wasn’t a remarkable game. Â Â I had another version in the bottom of the 19th with 2 out. Â Oops.
As the night got longer and longer this one became amazing. Â For all the armchair managers, this was a field day.
I think Jerry is dead now. Â Two runs against three innings of position players. Â This team is going nowhere.
I jumped on-line during the 8th inning, and as the game kept going and going I cleaned out my inbox and posted 13 new articles for the next 7 days, this one being the 14th post of the night.
I hung out on twitter (@metspolice) which was tremendous fun, and a great way to watch a game. Â The community aspect is wonderful.
I can’t tell you how many times I asked if Jerry was going to use K-Rod…Jerry danced with the devil tonight and got away with it several times. Â And then he used K-Rod and…oops!
The bullpen was awesome. Â The offense was awful.
How about that Cora at first?

How about the Rockies getting a no-hitter while this went on?
The Cards bringing Lopez in to pitch the 18th?

What’s with Jerry giving up an out, with Reyes on first and a position player on the mound? Â In the 19th?

Two innings of position players pitching (the 18th and 19th) and they get one run on a sac-fly, with a pitcher-in-left making the putout. Â Three innings, two runs.
Pujols doubles after a caught-stealing in the 19th. Â Then a pitcher playing outfield is up next. Â Wild.
You just knew K-Rod would blow the save. Â Nothing against K-Rod, but he’s on the Mets.
